Bleached Coral Chandelier

Researching innovations in adjacent fields of lighting, engineering, and avionics made Bleached Coral Reef Chandelier possible.

Aircraft cables support almost one hundred pounds of ceramic globes, and grippers allow the three forms to slide up and down according to the height of the ceiling. Rechargeable battery operated LED lights with remote controls reduce the need for electrical outlets and dependence on the electrical grid.

Although this hanging sculpture highlights catastrophic loss, I focus on practical solutions to lessen energy consumption and move towards zero carbon emissions. LED lighting and clay produce magical results.

My hope is beauty reaches people to change towards sustainability.
