This piece is an extension of a series of tipping point cups made in 2008-2009. By 2026, our addiction to fossil fuels had increased significantly.
It is hard to remember the impact of tea in blue-and-white cups during the colonial period. This 21st-century cup echoes this history and emphasizes our current addiction to fossil fuels, which has the potential to topple society on a global scale.
